The Shell Houston Open Golf

The Shell Houston Open is the Tournament of the regular golf it is on the PGA Tour. The Houston has been established in the year of 1946 and located in the Humble, Texas. The Shell Houston has played currently in April at Redstone Golf Club in the Houston. The major sponsor of the tournament is Houston golf Association.

The event has played at the various Houston locations until the year of 1970 which has stared from the River Oaks Country Club and, after that it was also held at the Memorial Park Golf Course and after a year off moving again to pine Forest country club. The format of the tournament is stroke play which also known as the medal plays it is a scoring system in the golf.

The current champion of the tournament is Paul Casey he is an English golfer. The Tournament has usually played in the month of April. The event has also played in the Sharp town before moving to the Champions Golf Club. In the year of 2003 the event has shifted to its current location at Redstone Golf Club.  In the year of 2009 the prize was $ 5,700,000 with $ 1,026,000 which is going to the winner on the tournament.
