U.S Open Golf

The United States Open Championship which also known as the U.S .Open is the open golf tournament of the United States. It is established in the year of 1895 in the United States and is the second of the four major championships in golf. The first U.S Open was played in the year of 1895. The field is 156 players and about half of the field is made up of players who are fully free from qualifying.

The U.S open is broadcast on the television by NBC and ESPN. The champion of the U.S open was Willie Anderson, Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus they all set the records from the most U.S. Open victories. The Youngest winner of the U.S open is John McDermott. The current champion of the tournament is Lucas Glover.

The prize was the 2009 U.S open was $7.5 million and the winners share was $1.35 million.  The U.S open course is hardly ever beaten ruthlessly and it staged at a variety of courses whose scoring is difficult with the best place on exact driving.
